Time for a Cool (Hot?) Change

Just heard visas will be ready by the end of February, awesome! Looking at a departure date of March 8th, just need to work in with people we are traveling with, the Maasai individual that is picking us up and the hundreds of things we need to do before we depart...but its a relief to have that visa nudge in the right direction.


Well back to chores. I was shoveling mulch for the garden in the after work chain gang tonight. Just call me Cool Hand Luke.

The Blurst of Times

As Tom Petty said The Waiting is the Hardest Part. The wife and I are currently at the mercy of distant visa gods, drumming our paws in a semi packed, semi rentable house. Hopefully we will hear provisional visa confirmation no later than the end of January...but who knows?

I'll just feel happier when we have flights booked and my pith helmet stowed in carry on luggage. I imagine everything will come all at once at the end in a mad rush, all I can say is thank goodness for supportive friends, family and colleagues...
